- Boxing. Golden Boy president confident Jaime Munguia can surprise Canelo Alvarez
- Boxing. Canelo Alvarez is favored for an "easy win" over Jaime Munguia: He should knock him out
The fight between Saul "Canelo" Alvarez and Jaime Munguia is just days away, with the latter looking to knock off the super middleweight champion at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The all-Mexican battle is set to be an exciting one, with the bout taking place on Cinco De Mayo weekend.
Munguia is putting in the work ahead of what is the biggest fight of his career, and his confidence his high after a TKO win over John Ryder - the same fighter that Canelo only defeated by decision.
The confidence is clear if Munguia's recent training clip is anything to go by.
"Jaime Munguia is ready to bring the fire May 4," the post was captioned, which shows Munguia working on his jab, feints, hooks and crosses. His dedication and execution is on full display as he inches closer to the high-profile fight.
Fans left unimpressed
Unfortunately for Munguia, it doesn't seem to have won over fans.
"This is going to be a bar burner of a fight. Will be back and forth action with heavy leather thrown until canelo stops him by the 10," wrote one fan, while another made it clear they aren't convinced by Munguia's credentials: "He'll do better than Carlo but he's going to sleep. He doesn't deserve this fight smh."
Another made their skepticism clear: "He's not ready for Canelo man."
Finally, one fan pointed to Canelo having an easy time on May 4: "Canelo will smoke him!!!"
