Former Baltimore Ravens player Aaron Ross has given his take on the New York Giants bringing Odell Beckham Jr. back, declaring he would "love" to see him return to the Big Apple.

He was drafted by Giants with the 12th overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft and enjoyed a fine rookie season, there are few who would argue Beckham Jr played his best professional football at the MetLife Stadium.

Beckham's figures have taken a sharp decline since, managing just 35 receptions and 565 yards with the Baltimore Ravens in 2023 - resulting in him carrying the ball into the end zone for just three TDs.

But former DB Ross, 41, is convinced he retains star quality and can rediscover his best form from when he first joined the Giants, where he was widely considered one of the finest players in his position.

Speaking about the possibility of his return to TMZ, Ross said of the three-time Pro Bowler: "I would love that."

The two-time Super Bowl winner elaborated: "From the first day he got to the Giants, that was the part that we needed since our Super Bowl run and he was amazing out there. I think his personality matches the New York environment, so I'd love to see that."

Will OBJ go back to NYC?

The 32-year-old is a free agent after a brief stint with the Ravens in 2023 and is looking for a new team, having met with the Miami Dolphins back in March.

"Swea on everything I appreciate the Flock more than yall could EVER imagine. Did everything I could wit the opportunities I had. Wish I got to do it big for yall," Beckham wrote to his 18 million followers on Instagram.

The appeal is obvious, as Beckham racked up some consistently world-class statistics during his three-year spell, with at least 91 receptions, 10 touchdowns and over 1,300 yards in each of his three seasons in New York.

There is no official word on whether OBJ would entertain a possible return to the Giants, according to the outlet. But the signing of highly-rated LSU graduate Malik Nabers in the Draft would suggest they are not looking for a new WR as a high priority.
