Tennessee Titans icon Taylor Lewan delighted the crowd at an NHL playoff game -- but he made sure his daughter Wynne got plenty of screen time as the Nashville Predators faced off against the Vancouver Canucks in Game 4 of their first-round series.
Lewan, a three-time Pro Bowl selection with the Titans, has not played a snap in the NFL since he suffered a knee injury early in the 2022 season. But his appearance in the Stanley Cup playoffs was greeted with rapturous applause, and his six-year-old daughter became the life of the party at Bridgestone Arena after sharing an awesome moment with her dad.
Lewan: My daughter is on top of the world
Early in the first period of Sunday's game -- a pivotal one, with Nashville trailing Vancouver 2-1 in the series -- Lewan was shown on the video board dousing himself with a beer, an action in line with the offensive lineman's wild personality. But what happened next must have been a surprise to many of the 17,590 fans in attendance.
After Lewan chugged and poured out his beer, his daughter Wynne stood up and chugged her own drink -- a cup of water -- as dad cheered her on.
Holding her arm aloft after she finished, Wynne Lewan drew loud cheers from the Predator faithful, and her father took to X (formerly Twitter) after the game to talk in more depth about the incredible dad-daughter moment.
"This was an all-time moment, the whole way home my daughter was talking about how legendary it was," Lewan wrote, captioning a video sent to him by a fan at the game. "Wynne is on top of the world right now."
Although the Predators would go on to lose 4-3 in overtime, Wynne and Taylor Lewan will never forget that salute from the crowd as long as they live.
